Eden is runing away with his son. Hiding. Some mean people want them both dead immediately. They know too much.
A breakdown leaves her stuck in Summer Harbor where she meets Beau Callahan, an habitual problem solver.
She is a mistery and a possible danger but by all means he’d do the impossible to keep her safe.

Very good story!

It’s very well-written. Dialogues are great. Very believable characters.

I did not like the cover very much, though. It’s kind of suggestive.

For some reason I got a bit more engaged to Beau than to Eden. I could not feel for her no matter how much I wanted to.

I must say the plot was kind of predictable. I found little surprises in it. I’m not saying you need radical twists through it all but almost everything was completely expected.

I’ve also seen a pattern in how the story ends in the three books I’ve read by this author. I’m not sure It’s always like that but the ones I’ve read had very similar things. It’d be interesting to see a change in that.

I don’t agree with some decisions Beau made and the motives behind them but he did what he thought best, of course.

I really liked Zac and Riley and enjoyed the relationship Callahan brothers have. You can truly see they care for each other.

The story obviously tried to deal with fear and trust issues but I think it could be more developed. We all struggle with this at some point and the story could have dug deeper in it.

The best things about the book for me are how easy it is to read and the camaraderie between Callahans.

– “She’s already free. She just doesn’t know it”. (Been there, done that).

– “When you can’t trust others, and you can’t trust yourself, you can always trust God”. (What a relief!)

– “I won’t let fear keep me from living”. (That’s the plan!)
